Clear Class - Friday July 16th
This class will focus on clear assembly. I will demonstrate and discuss every step involved in building a recycler including: shaping, flame annealing, various seals, making ground joints, etc. all with a strong focus on cleanliness and accident prevention. Shaping and assembly will take place both on the lathe and on the bench torch. The design of the piece will be chosen by the students from my repertoire the night before class when we jump online for a pre-class check in. Conceptual ideas will be explained and drawn out on the white board throughout the day. Students can ask questions at any time and the afternoon after class we will have a Q&A session for any remaining questions you may have. Class will stream live on Twitch and discussion will take place on Discord so you will want a decent internet connection to watch and participate in the discussion.
